Nika & Edi, Rozi & Blondi

We love a life lived outside the mold—a life with room to breathe.

We are Edi and Nika—a content creator and a counseling psychotherapist—along with our two dachshunds, an adventure motorcycle, and a habit of always making sure we have a good time.

We’ve spent most of our lives moving between different places, people, and interests.

Nika tries to change the world from her armchair—through conversations with people, reading, learning, and an endless curiosity about the dynamics between us. She believes that big change often starts with very small things: a good question, an honest conversation, or a moment when someone finally sees something in a new light.

Edi is a Dalmatian. He doesn't rush unless he absolutely has to, rarely gets stressed, and takes a pretty simple approach to life. He channels his creativity into everything he touches, producing amazing things. He loves discovering the world without the need for many words—riding his motorcycle on the open road toward new destinations, or simply making the world a little more beautiful with a new creative project.

And then there are Rozi and Blondi.

Two little dachshunds with very strong opinions on how our lives should look. They actively participate in everything we do. They help out in the garden and around the house, but what they love most is helping in the kitchen. If there’s a dining table, they believe they belong right there at it. In that sense, they are actually quite Mediterranean dogs.

We all lead an active life together; we love good food and, in particular, the side of Brač that emerges once summer ends and everything around us quiets down.

We didn’t create this project because we wanted to rent out a house. We created it because we wanted to share a way of life that holds real meaning for us.

We’ve been coming to the island for years, and over time, we realized that we are happiest when the usual things are absent.

When there are no morning crowds. No lines at the store. No traffic jams or parking hassles. No rushing to stick to a schedule. No overwhelming distractions or exhausting demands.

That’s when a new kind of normal emerges.

Time for oneself and for others—for conversation, cooking, walking, driving, playing cards, reading, sitting in companionable silence, sharing a meal, or making new acquaintances. Or simply doing nothing at all.

That is what the Mediterranean does for us: it asks us to be here and now, and to listen to our inner selves.

Villa Bonetti wasn’t designed merely as a place to sleep between excursions. It is a home where you can stay long enough to feel that time flows differently here—and to live a little differently for a while.

We have only one life; if not now, then when?
